Every Show Cars Illustrated board is designed and produced for one car and one customer, so our policy for custom boards is different from our policy for stock items such as carrying cases. Both are set out below. This policy applies to orders shipped within the United States and Canada.
Custom Show Boards
This section covers PVC cut-to-shape boards, text-only spec boards and aluminum signs.
Cancelling an order
You can cancel for a full refund at any time before you approve your proof. Once you approve the proof, your board goes into production and the order can no longer be cancelled or refunded.
Returns
Because each board is made to order from your photos and information, we cannot accept returns or issue refunds on a finished board that matches the proof you approved. Please check your proof carefully — spelling, specifications and paint color — before you approve it.
If we made a mistake
If your board has a print or manufacturing defect, or does not match the proof you approved, contact us within 30 days of delivery and include photos. We will reprint the board and ship the replacement at no charge to you.
If your board arrives damaged
If your board is damaged in shipping, contact us within 30 days of delivery with photos of the damage and the packaging. We replace the board at no charge and file the claim with the carrier ourselves.
Changes after approval
If you want to change text, specifications or a photo after your board has been produced, we handle that as a board update rather than a return. We keep every order on file, so an update costs a fraction of what a new board would. Contact us with your original order details for a quote.
Carrying Cases
Carrying cases are stock items. An unused case in its original condition can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the purchase price. Contact us first and we will send return instructions. Return shipping is paid by the customer, and the original shipping charge is not refundable.
If a case arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 30 days of delivery with photos and we will replace it at no charge.
Gift Certificates
An unused gift certificate can be refunded in full to the original purchaser. A gift certificate that has been redeemed is not refundable.
How Refunds Are Issued
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. We process a refund within 5 business days of approving a cancellation or receiving a returned item. Your bank or card issuer may take a few more days to post it.
